Medicare Part D

Part D is the newest addition to Medicare coverage.  It just recently began January 1st 2006.  Here are some facts that everyone should know.

1.  Most all plans require a $250 deductible.

2.  After that is met Medicare covers 75% and the consumer pays 25%.   This is done until the consumer and the company reaches a $2250 limit.

3  When the $2250 is reached Medicare does not pay anything until the consumer has reached $3600 in out-of-pocket costs.

4  When the $3600 is reached then Medicare will kick back in and cover 95% and the consumer will pay 5%

Social Security Administration has a program in which there is help available for deductibles and monthly premiums.  You can visit www.socialsecurity.gov at anytime to find out more details about that.

If you need any further help, you can try www.medicare.gov anytime as well.
